Glorifying the Present

by Brian

It’s 8:45pm EST Sunday night, and I am completely tapped. Stick a fork in me, I’m done. And no, I don’t have anything more orginial than that right now. I’m D-U-N, done.

Now many of you out there are probably wondering if, after the Patriots 24-21 victory over the San Diego Chargers, I’m going to use this space to gloat over and taunt the fine men & women over at “Glorify the Past…Live for the Present”. Well, as Michael Wilbon over at PTI would say…

(I’m drawing aimlessly in the air right now)

No.

What’s done is done. We’ve allready kissed & made up, and good fans don’t rub salt in the wound after the game. You shake hands, say “good season”, and move on. The Chargers fans have bigger things to talk about anyways, like whether or not Dr. Choken-heimer should come back next year. Heck, they’re probably allready making plans to go surfing or play beach volleyball tomorrow. (As for New England, the forecast calls for snow on Monday! Grrrrrrrr…)

As for Pats fans, all I have to say is:

PATS VS COLTS!!
PATS VS COLTS!!
Are you kidding me? It the PATS VS COLTS for the AFC Title!!

I’m wayyyyy to excited right now - I gotta go take a cold shower, then go pick a fight with some Colts fans. Back with more shortly!

  1. Dennis D Says:

Dear Bill Simmons, I mean, Brian M. I just had to ask, do you know if the Glorify the Past website crashed, or is it now checking to see from what zip code I’m coming in from? My guess is that it didn’t crash, but detected that I was from Superbowl Town (aka Boston) and I was therefore blocked from entering the site just a few minutes ago.
