Michael Vick Indicted

by Brian

The Atlanta Falcons off-season continued to go to the (well, you know) yesterday when Michael Vick was indicted by a federal grand jury in connection to charges of dogfighting at his property in Smithfield, Virginia.

“Happy Trails, A-hole!”

If convicted, Vick could face up to six years behind bars, along with a $350,000 fine.  The NFL has released a statement on the indictment that includes the following:

Michael Vick’s guilt has not yet been proven, and we believe that all concerned should allow the legal process to determine the facts.

…and I’m sure Goodell (a.k.a. the All-Powerful Tyrant) will show just as much compassion to Vick as he did Pacman Jones and Chris Henry once the facts start piling up.

Lucky for Falcons fans, a philosophical Dante Culpepper was just released, clearing the way for an ex-Dolphin quarterback reunion in Atlanta with Joey H!

…complete with 6-10 record.

Wow, even if this is not proven it’s sad to see what people are capable of doing.

They must have some deep psychological wounds that make them do such things and feel no compassion.

  2. Brian Says:

…not to mention a complete lack of common sense.

Looks like Vick got in with all the wrong people, and it’s going to cost him this season and perhaps his entire NFL career.

  3. T Ben Says:

Who cares about his career??? What the hell is wrong with his mental health and evil heart?

  4. Brian Says:

You have a good point, T Ben, although I have no idea what’s going on in Ookie’s head.

I’ve avoided writing the post of outrage and condemnation for two reasons: (1) you can find that just about anywhere else on the net (See: Bob Ryan at Boston.com, PETA, Al Sharpton, Senator Robert Byrd, who actually used the word ‘dastardly’, etc.), and (2) I’m trying to keep my energies here positive and on the humorous side.

However, here’s my official statement on the dogfighting charges and Vick’s accused mistreatment of animals: I think it’s horrible, and if Vick is found guilty he should be punished to the full extent of the law. On retrospect, I probably should have put that in the post originally.

  5. Margie Says:

Fire Michael Vick immediately. He is a brutal man.

  6. Teresa Says:

He is such a scum bag!!!

  7. tiffany harris Says:

Get a Life! We’re talking about pit bulls for God’s sake. I’m not condoning what’s being said happened, the allegations are pretty bad. However, this is not the worst thing in the world. You act as if he raped or killed someone. (No, this is not how it starts) Get a life! Coby raped a girl and cheated on his wife but you didn’t blow that up and those are sins of God; of which this so called, sanctified country lives by. America is so hypocritical, you use God’s name in vain every day. Yet, you murder unarmed men and dogs when feel threatened.
Animals are not humans no matter how cute they are. Anyway, we’re talking about pit bulls for God’s sake. In addition, they were never meant to be considered one of the family. You don’t put them on clothes, shoes or feed them with bottles. You don’t abuse them either but… There animals crazy people!

    Stay strong Vic.

  8. Brian Says:

    …who’s Coby?

  9. t Says:

I think that everybody need to leave Vick alone come on now dogfighting there are rapists and murders out here in the streets free get them off the the streets 1st. Michael Vick is innocent.Michael you need to keep your head up put god 1st stay strong you are in my prayers always.PETA and the others needs to get a life back off

  10. Trent Says:

t.. just how do you know Michael Vick is innocent? Evidence says otherwise. You say for Michael to put God first.. well perhaps he should have consulted with God before entering something as barbaric as dogfighting..Michael has succumbed to a bad case of supid.. to stupid to know when he had it made..

  11. Limbo Says:

Have any of you coming to Vick’s defense read the indictment? Do you know that the ‘estate’ was purchased because it was in a prime location to carry on dog fights without public knowlege? Vick’s buddies are already turning on him, so ultimately somewhere in this pile of poo a black man IS going to be found GUILTY..who’s fault is that? They entered into this bloody mess knowing that it was not only illegal but grossly inhumane.. can I help it that Vick happens to be black? Instead of blaming ‘whitey’, I’d think that self respecting black people would be up in arms, mad as hell that one of theirs has brought such shame and disgrace to the community at large.I agree with the other poster.. its not a race thing.. it’s a moral thing.. and apparently Vick and his cronies have no morals.. deal with it..
