Some Holiday Cheer(leaders)

Today marks the one year anniversary of Talking NFL, and what better way to celebrate than with a Holiday Cheerleader extravaganza!  Below you will find the best NFL cheerleader videos and pictures I could find (in the spare 15 minutes I had between running over people at the mall and cramming my carry-on bag inside that glove compartment sized crib outside airport security - seriously, does ANYBODY’S bag fit in that thing?!).

Before we begin, a quick programming note:  yours truly will be attending the New England vs Miami tilt in Foxboro this weekend, and I plan on providing a full tailgating recap early next week! (complete with leftover grilled Dolphin…)  True, the game would have been much more enjoyable if the Dolphins were still chasing historic ineptitude, but I’m sure we’ll make do with the remaining Patriots chase for perfection!  In Bill We Trust!

In addition, we have a bunch of post-holiday goodies prepared for all you faithful readers that have endured this calendar year, including a playoff preview, a look at some great up-and-comming blogs, and a Talking NFL first: an honest to goodness interview!  (With someone actually involved with professional football and who isn’t my mom or some bookie I owe $$$ to - sorry Vinny, check’s in the mail…no really…put that cigar cutter away…)

So as Veronica Corningstone would say; thanks for stopping by, and enjoy a cornucopia of holiday cheerleader goodness! HO HO HO!!

We begin with a visit with our old pal Fitzy, who tries to keep up with Patriots cheerleader Dinna Yap and does disturbingly surprisingly well:

Next, let’s get up close & personal with some other cheerleaders care of FHM’s “Girls of the Gridiorn” video series:

Way to work the hair, Jessica!

See?  Dophins fans have something to cheer for besides that one win:  Bibiana!

Yes, we get two Patriots cheerleaders in one post - hey, the team’s undefeated and we can’t have Michelle’s contributions go unnoticed!

Finally, ’tis the season…

  1. Ted Says:

    Hi Brian!

Your blog is great, very funny and entertaining, and you’ve got great football insights too! I check in on what you’re doing regularly. You’ve also been sticking to the formula you outlined in your first post, it’s working. Congrats on the 1 year anniversary!

And in the extremely unlikely event that this hasn’t happened yet, I’ll fulfill your first post wish:

    Hey, Brian, YOU SUCK!

  2. Dennis D Says:

Brian — you do realize that pounding back a few beers with your friend Jason (a former linebacker coach of a pop warner team that had just 12 players on the roster) doesn’t qualify as “someone actually involved with professional football”, right?

  3. Brian Says:

Thanks for reading, Ted (and trust me, you’re not the first)!

Believe it or not Dennis, the interview is not with Jason - even though he’s been begging for one since April.
